Descripción
Summary:Within the informal city, technically unplanned, and generated by deregulated urban growth on territories of environmental value, with unmet demands on infrastructure and urban services, the research set out to formulate a model of principles, criteria and purposes that, from the logic of sustainable development, allow the delineation of urban restructuring actions based on re-densification processes, with which sustainable urban growth can be achieved from an approach of integral consolidation of the territory. The research is based on a conceptual review about the relationship between habitat and sustainable development, based on the model of principles, criteria and purposes for sustainable habitat, and finally, it presents design guidelines as strategic requirements for the formulation of re-densification projects. The model proposed, allows to define a must be that incorporates principles of habitability, equity and efficiency for integral urban actions in informal contexts, and at the same time shows the possibilities that its application has in re-densification projects.
