Resumo: | The demographic growth of the municipality of Soacha (Colombia) generates an urban and ecological impact, which favors the decrease of the sense of belonging and roots of the inhabitants, which is why it seeks to recognize what are the experiences that different actors have about the municipality . The research has a qualitative approach, where National Development Plans are analyzed between 1970–2012, in the light of urban growth, historical characteristics and government policies. Surveys and social cartography exercises were applied, which evidenced the contrasts between the perceptions of the municipality by its inhabitants, characterized by indifference towards the public and aggressiveness towards the environment. We worked with a focus group through a territory recognition strategy. The result allowed us to analyze how the construction of the territory depends on the interaction of social groups with the physical environment, in this way appropriation relationships are built that enhance identity traits, this is essential to encourage a change of their perception about the municipality and raise interest in continuing to recognize the territory. |
