Resumo:The notion of social landscape opens a new perspective to address the subject of patrimonial valuation, which relies on views that lay the foundation of landscape studies. This area is able to complement our view on some areas of the city in order to define attributes that would allow a patrimonial valuation with a greater number of variables. This article presents a review of three landscape studies, aiming to make a valuation proposal for an area with patrimonial characteristics. This process is structured around four aspects, where a physical dimension and a temporal dimension, mediated by the action of socio-cultural practices, define the value dimension. Social landscape as a notion aims to look more closely at the qualitative aspects of places, which is why this proposal seeks to find attributes that account for intangible features, which may be present in any patrimonial context and which are often not taken into account as criteria for valuation.
