The theme celebrates the 30th anniversary of the Brazilian Society of Acoustics (Sobrac) and the realization of the XXV Meeting of Sobrac in the city of Campinas (Manni, 2014). Studies demonstrate the maturity of acoustics research conducted in Brazil and the commitment of researchers to turn this knowledge into community benefits. The results also indicated that the Performance Standard NBR15575 was a breakthrough for the construction industry contributing to the quality of Brazilian buildings. Essa edição da Revista PARC aborda a temática Qualidade Acústica do Ambiente Construído. O tema comemora os 30 anos da Sociedade Brasileira de Acústica (SOBRAC) e a realização do XXV Encontro da SOBRAC na cidade de Campinas (MANNIS, 2014). Os estudos e resultados apresentados demonstram o amadurecimento das pesquisas em acústica realizadas no Brasil e o empenho dos pesquisadores de transformar esse conhecimento em benefícios a comunidade.
