| Zusammenfassung: | Facilities Management (FM) involves managing people, processes, and spaces and can be supported by specifics information systems. The adoption of Building Information Modeling (BIM) in FM results in benefits as in other stages of building life cycle. Therefore, although incipient, there is a growing interest in BIM use in facility and information management, since it allows incorporating consistent data from design to construction phases until operation and maintenance phases of a building, achieving time and cost savings. Maintenance management is one of the Facilities Management areas and is the focus of this paper. The method used in this study was comparative; applied in order to identify changes, continuities, and discontinuities in FM processes with and without the adoption of BIM. For a better understanding of the process, we used the Business Process Modeling Notation, also known as BPMN. BIM implementation scales in FM were elaborated from the analysis of a literature case study and BIM implementation guides. The scaling factor application for characterization was demonstrated in other case studies, also found in the literature. As a contribution, BIM incorporation scenarios in FM are designed for processes, systems, and information. These scenarios can assist stakeholders in this segment to characterize future or realized efforts of BIM adoption in FM. |
