Resumo: | This paper comments on the formulation and evaluation of facade elements that use the characteristics of the fractal geometry, and has the objective to investigate if these elements improve the use of daylight. Thus, ten elements of facades were developed from linear fractals rules, using three-dimensional modeling tools, parametric and plug-ins, that allowed to recreate some of the composition rules of the fractals. These elements were submitted to a homogeneous composition in a virtual environment of dynamic simulations, being evaluated in the North and South orientations. Their results were grouped in spreadsheets and graphs, allowing an individual evaluation of each composition present in the different elements. The results show that the elements developed with the fractal characteristics present different results for each element and iterations, demonstrating that the use of this geometry as a form of solar control can enhance the lighting conditions of the internal environment, and increase the range of alternatives for the design of components for facades. The developed algorithm also allowed to select components with more potentialities for the simulated locality, allowing that in future studies it can be altered in different parameters, potentializing its attributes as a façade element. |
