Achoimre:The fourth issue of Volume 9 of 2018 of PARC Research in Architecture and Construction brings together articles submitted in a continuous flow, covering the theme of the performance of buildings in the built environment. Original and communication articles were developed by researchers from the Brazilian states of - Minas Gerais, Paraíba, Rio Grande do Norte, Rio Grande do Sul, Santa Catarina and São Paulo - and also from abroad - Sweden. The teaching and research institutions involved in the studies presented are the Integrated Colleges of Patos,  Technological Research Institute of the State of São Paulo, Lund University, Federal University of Paraíba, Federal University of Pelotas, Federal University of Santa Catarina, Federal University of Viçosa and the Federal Rural University of Semi-Arid. The areas of formation of the authors focus on Architecture and Urbanism, mostly interacting with Biologist, Interior Design, Electrical Engineer and Civil Engineer. The performance studies developed in the articles are mostly related to the thermal and energetic performance of buildings, building components and systems (first four articles). There is also a study of sky models for the simulation of performance in natural lighting (fifth article). Finally, we present a study of automatic verification compliance of the performance standard  ABNT NBR 15575:2013 for residential buildings with BIM
