Not only More used on the cover of the original edition a schematic map of Tenochtitlan but Europe gives to recent colonies an enabling space to realize their utopian ideas from a systemic notion of the city to different versions of settlements and utopian societies by actions of the religious orders. Since then not only this first globalization is articulated around this Renaissance concept forged in Europe but then spreads to other manifestations of utopian practices from the largely frustrated socialist experiences to anarchists or figures productive paternalism to lead to certain expressions of modernity from the happy versions of collective housing to technological, typological and urban experimentalism of great utopians as Sergio Bernardes or Amancio Williams. Si bien la noción de utopía aparece en Europa con Thomas More a inicios del siglo XVI, rápidamente se articula con América con cuyas operaciones de conquista y colonización tiene mucho que ver. No solo More utiliza en la portada de su edición original un plano de Tenochtitlán sino que Europa adjudica a su reciente colonia un espacio propicio para concretar sus ideas utópicas desde una noción sistémica de ciudad hasta distintas versiones de asentamientos y sociedades utópicas en manos de las órdenes religiosas. Desde entonces no sólo se articula tal primera globalización alrededor de este concepto renacentista forjado en Europa sino que luego se extiende en otras manifestaciones de las prácticas utópicas desde las mayormente frustradas experiencias socialistas hasta anarquistas o la figuras del paternalismo productivo para desembocar en ciertas expresiones de modernidad, desde las versiones felices de la vivienda colectiva hasta el experimentalismo tecnológico, tipológico y urbano de utopistas consagrados como Sergio Bernardes o Amancio Williams.
