Ways of Living Project Processes Domestic Space Throughout what is now the territory of Argentina they were settled, during the period of Spanish domination, colonies founded and built by Jesuit priests, in order to "evangelize" the natives. For many years these colonies were centers of production and culture that spread to the rest of the territory. The priests preached and learned local languages through which they communicated. His concern for the understanding of speech, and through them it is manifested in the temples they built. This research analyzes the influence of this thought, translated to the churches acoustics in the colonies, evaluating the parameters that determine the understanding of speech; and the ability of each of the churches to sing religious music. In those cases where the temples fell apart or part of it, modeling and auralization was used to reconstruct the sound inside the churches and recover the intangible cultural heritage. A lo largo de lo que hoy es el territorio dela República Argentina, se establecieron durante el período de dominación hispánica, colonias fundadas y construidas por sacerdotes jesuitas, con el objetivo de “evangelizar” a las poblaciones nativas. Estas colonias durante muchos años constituyeron centros de producción y de cultura que se irradiaba al resto del territorio. Los sacerdotes se apoyaban en la prédica y aprendían los lenguajes locales a través de los cuales se comunicaban. Su preocupación por la comprensión de las palabras, y a través de ellas del evangelio, se manifiesta en los templos que construyeron. Esta investigación analiza la influencia de este pensamiento trasladado a la acústica de las iglesias de las colonias, evaluando los parámetros que determinan la comprensión de las palabras y la aptitud de cada una de las iglesias para el canto y la música religiosa. En aquellos casos en que los templos no llegaron completos hasta nuestros días, se recurrió al modelado y a la auralización para reconstruir el sonido en el interior de las iglesias, y recuperar así el patrimonio cultural intangible.
