Description
Résumé:The university community of unam lives, beyond classrooms, in a wide variety of open spaces including sports courts, squares and hallways in schools, and a plethora of gardens, well distributed among campus buildings. This article deals with the transformations undergone by public spaces within University City campus (CU), where service areas were incorporated and consolidated as a complement to the original project, making evident that, in spite of the huge increase in enrolment, open spaces in cu managed to be adapted and diversified in order to host all kinds of student activities. A true exception among public spaces inherited from rational urbanism. This document also includes the results of a survey conducted among campus users-students with the purpose of gaining insight into their perception, uses and requirements with respect to open spaces.
