| Zusammenfassung: | The subject matter of this reflection was established by two discourses about the modern in architecture at the beginning of the XX century in Brazil and Argentina, embodied in the figures of Lucio Costa and Alberto Prebish, red from crossing with each of them debates about the demographic mixture and also embodied by certain literary elites that though for each case the Brazilian or the Argentinean identity. The whole of the representations and resultant formulations, which were expressed in the texts written by these two architects, can't be dissociated from the cities where they lived, neither from the debates installed in them. Junction of two different ways of thinking simultaneously architecture and race, city and citizenship. |
