Summary:In this study on the water saving and reuse in the construction applied to a project of multifamily housing in the city of Cuenca, Ecuador, is analyzed the problematic of water and construction at present. Then a research is conducted about the actual consumption of drinking water in the city as well as the location of this resource in the world. Subsequently is explained the greywater re-use system from sinks, showers and washing machines that it will be used in the project, and it is finally applied in a preliminary draft which consists of two multifamily towers that will count with 348 inhabitants, which will allow a saving of water and reuse on a larger scale than if it will take place in a detached houseKeywords: Water saving, building, Cuenca, Ecuador.
