For this purpose the press discourses on the meaning and alleged dangers of a possible invasion of the capital by the rebel forces, as well as some episodes of the response of the people to form volunteer’s defense corps called by the authorities are analyzed. Its content —summarized here for dissemination— is a preview of an ongoing and larger research.
