Sumario: | This paper focuses on the landscape and environmental aspects of the “new town” that Francisco J. Sáenz de Oiza designed in Madrid’s neighborhood of Entrevías and which referenced Hilberseimer’s "The Metropolis as a Garden-City." Through an analysis of architectural, infrastructural, and landscape plans, developed between 1956 and 1958, and an examination of the project’s relation with the topography, hydrology, climate and nature of the place, it is possible to consider Entrevías as a “sensitive topography” that is linked to the urban and territorial scale. |
