Resumo:This paper will analyze a series of letters between the exiled German architect, Max Cetto and important personalities in architecture of the twentieth century, among them: Siegfried Giedion, Walter Gropius, José Luis Sert. These documents offer a polemic look of Mexican architecture during the first half of the previous century and illustrate the failed and unexplored relation between Mexico and the ciam (Congrès Internacional d’Architecture Moderne), so far.
