This production of public space promotes the idea developments is stocked in a conception process that, paradoxically, also demonstrates a constant growth. Dos espacios públicos emplazados en bordes de distinta naturaleza: por un lado, una plaza que conmemora el centenario de la fundación de la ciudad de Mexicali, ubicada en un intersticio, permanece vacía, encausada hacia la ruina; por otro, a unos pasos de la frontera, uno de los primeros parques de la ciudad representa lo lleno, donde cohabita la diversidad de esta tierra de migrantes, atendida inadecuadamente por la administración local. Esta producción de espacio público estimula la idea de que el desarrollo se encuentra detenido en un proceso de gestación que, paradójicamente, evidencia un constante crecimiento.
