La frontera no debe ser interpretada únicamente como una línea de separación y protección; también puede convertirse en el espacio desde donde realidades contrapuestas, mediante las posibilidades creativas del conflicto, avancen hacia metas comunes. Partiendo del mito fronterizo, el artículo muestra algunas situaciones y experiencias en las cuales el concepto puede seguir siendo útil en la actualidad para el conocimiento, la interpretación e, incluso, la construcción de territorios.
