Al contrario de como nació la teoría general de la información, el error forma parte de la comunicación. El denominado “colegio invisible” (Escuela de Palo Alto) pone de manifiesto cómo la eliminación de los errores para conseguir el isomorfismo del mensaje está en perjuicio de la comunicación que se establece. El artículo aplica esta teoría de la comunicación a la arquitectura. Muestra, a través de tres historias de arquitecturas conocidas, cómo los errores han sido decisivos, inseparables del mensaje final del proyecto.
