The relationship between the discourse of the building itself, designed by Agustin Hernandez, and the murals commissioned by Fernando Gamboa allows us to examine the sense of national identity promoted by the cultural policies of the Mexican government. These policies aimed to emphasize the country's cultural heritage and artistic innovation within the international context of world's fairs. Este artículo se interesa en la arquitectura y museografía del pabellón de México en la feria mundial de Osaka, 1970. A partir de la conjunción del discurso del edificio, diseñado por Agustín Hernández y los murales encargados por Fernando Gamboa, se revisa la propuesta de identidad nacional presente en las políticas culturales del Estado mexicano. Estas acciones buscaban resaltar la herencia cultural y la innovación artística de este país dentro del contexto internacional de las ferias mundiales.
