It´s development illustrates a broader acceptance of modern architecture and the rise of a popular modernist architecture. In this setting Boris Albin house´s played a key role. En la historia de la arquitectura moderna de la segunda mitad del siglo xx en la zona metropolitana del Valle de México, tal vez no exista, fuera del Pedregal y Satélite, otro lugar en su tipo que reúna una serie de rasgos propios de la época como Tecamachalco. Sin embargo, a diferencia de estos ejemplos, Tecamachalco no se promocionó a sí misma como paradigmática, ni buscó persuadir a sus futuros habitantes, pues estuvo estratégicamente ubicada y comercializó un estilo de vida aceptado. Su desarrollo evidencia la aclimatación de la arquitectura moderna y el surgimiento del popular moderno. En este escenario las casas de Boris Albin jugaron un papel relevante.
