El artículo argumenta por qué el dibujo, entendido como medio de comunicación gráfica del proyectode arquitectura, cumple diferentes funciones en el pensamiento y en la praxis del arquitecto. Paraejemplificarlo se presenta el caso del arquitecto Danilo Veras (1949-2007), de quien se indaga la variedadde dibujos que realizó y cómo formaron parte esencial del modo de trabajo ejemplar e irrepetibleque desarrolló, donde dibujar, proyectar y construir eran tareas indistinguibles.
