Summary: | The opening of the first School of Architecture and the foundation of the ArchitectsAssociation (CA) allowed for the beginning of a discussion about the role of architects in thecountry (1970-73). This paper explores the agency that the official journal of the CA had inexposing topics related to the tropical environment: identity, regionalism, and modernity, from1990. We suggest that the editorial curation of those topics relates to an ongoing aspirationto consolidate a disciplinary field within the Costa Rican society. |
