It explores the architects that built in this region, the reasons whythese projects in particular were disseminated and the meanings that these buildings had for Monterreysociety, as well as the possibility that modernity in Monterrey could be explained through theseprint publications. En este texto se analizan las obras de Monterrey publicadas en revistas de arquitectura nacionales y extranjeras, con el propósito de enriquecer, desde otras miradas, la historia de la arquitectura mexicana de mediados del siglo xx. Para esto se exploran las razones por las que se difundieron esas obras en particular, los arquitectos que construyeron en esa región y el significado de esos edificios para la sociedad regiomontana. Además se indaga sobre la posible explicación cabal de la modernidad regiomontana a través de lo publicado en los medios impresos.
