It examines two zones of Mexico City, analyzing the parameters of this concept with the goal of generating knowledge that can orient debates on the post-pandemic city, especially regarding the need for a conceptual renegotiation of the complex and conflicted link between the city and nature. This study emphasizes the importance of soil for urban-architectonic planning while promoting blue and green infrastructure in dense urban landscapes. Este texto ofrece una revisión del concepto de ciudad esponja, con el que se busca mitigar la crisis del agua y el calentamiento exponencial de muchas megalópolis. Toma como ejemplo dos zonas de la Ciudad de México, donde analiza los parámetros de este concepto con el objetivo de generar un conocimiento que sirva de orientación a los debates sobre la ciudad pospandémica, en especial la necesaria renegociación conceptual del complejo y conflictivo vínculo entre ciudad y naturaleza. El presente estudio subraya la importancia de los suelos para la planeación urbano-arquitectónica, a la vez que promueve la expansión de la infraestructura azul y verde en los densos paisajes urbanos.
