要約:Modern architecture paradigm, the Bauhaus building designed by Walter Gropius, which 90th anniversary is this year in December, appears as an obligatory reference in the study of the Architecture History today, but an edited reference from the devoted perspective of the books, the untainted images from an official photographic discourse which does not give an account of the subtle transformations of a building that is presently a World Heritage site. The diverse restoration jobs the building has gone through and its constant records tend to make this daily look invisible from an aura-surrounded space. That look discovering what that modernity reference has in common with any other modern movement building: an unavoidable deterioration produced by the passing time and use, a detail poetic which removes the project sacred archetypical image. This article was written given my continuous trips during 2011 to the Bauhaus site in Dessau and this further look into this, through a doctoral research internship at the Freie Universität Berlin. The intention is to reflect upon text and image, upon a common situation where even the most direct modernity reference cannot scape: the transformations produced by the passing of time and its material print.
