For the same reasons, it suggests other species that are currently under different threats in order to promote its conservation, provides a listing of indigenous species requiring special management, and offers some tips and recommendations to take into account to succeed at a tree planting strategy, analyzing thoroughly the overall state of Monteria´s ecological population of trees. El artículo hace parte de la investigación Flora arbórea de los espacios públicos urbanos de la ciudad de Montería. Se presenta una serie de especies nativas recomendadas para la arborización urbana en Montería, las cuales contribuyen al fortalecimiento de la Estructura Ecológica Principal y le confieren valor estético al paisaje urbano e identidad a la ciudad en relación a su flora autóctona. Asimismo, se sugieren algunas especies incluidas en distintas categorías de amenaza con el fin de promover su conservación. Se analiza el estado poblacional de las especies arbóreas que conforman el arbolado urbano de Montería. Adicionalmente, se dan a conocer las especies nativas con manejo especial y algunas pautas que se deben tener en cuenta para lograr el éxito de la arborización urbana en la ciudad.
