En ese sentido, se busca articular una nueva narrativa historiográfica del complejo, que desde 2014 está declarado Monumento Histórico, introduciendo nuevos referentes desde donde pensar este mercado: la arquitectura colonial y una relación con la arquitectura en madera. La metodología se basa en la revisión de fuentes históricas inéditas y el análisis de la forma construida. En definitiva, el trabajo se sitúa en la intersección de la historia transnacional y vernácula de la arquitectura moderna. This article presents the case of Concepción ́s Central Market and the erroneous belief it was designed by the Hungarian architect and Bauhaus student, Tibor Weiner. In this sense, it seeks to articulate a new historiographic narrative of the complex, which was declared a national historical monument in 2014, by introducing new models from which to reflect on this market building: colonial architecture and a link to wooden architecture. The methodology was based on a review of unpublished historical documents and an analysis of the built form. In short, the research is located at the intersection of the transnational and vernacular history of modern architecture.
