In this context, this paper studies the three main relationships identified between the two disciplines, with special attention to architecture as a tourist attraction due to its new forms. Above all, it seeks to identify the architectural values raised during trips, to distinguish significant differences between the values raised by the academic environment and those raised by tourists, differences that are magnified in recent buildings and new interventions, which leads to reflect on the use of architecture by contemporary tourism and how the profession is responding to these new challenges. Aunque arquitectura y turismo han mantenido una estrecha relación desde los inicios de esta actividad, sólo hace pocos años la crítica arquitectónica ha empezado a manifestar interés por el fenómeno turístico, mostrando su importancia en la comprensión y configuración del espacio habitable. En este contexto, se estudian aquí las tres principales relaciones identificadas entre ambas disciplinas, prestando especial atención a la arquitectura como reclamo turístico, debido a las nuevas formas que está adquiriendo. Se busca, sobre todo, identificar los valores apreciados en la arquitectura durante los viajes, al distinguir diferencias significativas entre los valores destacados de las obras en los ámbitos académicos y los valorados por el turista, diferencia magnificada en edificios e intervenciones recientes, que inducen a reflexionar sobre la utilización que el turismo contemporáneo hace de la arquitectura y cómo la profesión está respondiendo a estos nuevos desafíos.
