Thus, the “cure” or care taken becomes the essential feature of dwelling. Signs become landmarks in the space; the clearing in the forest marks the propitious place for disclosing being. These ideas reveal a new reading of Mesoamerican open spaces, where lines and plazas configure an openness that, through ritual, can bring myth into present time.This proposal provides an approach for intercultural dialogue, and renews the existential meaning of Mesoamerican ritual space. Este trabajo propone un diálogo, desde la perspectiva hermenéutica de Heidegger, entre la espacialidad del Dasein, como ser-en-el-mundo, y la concepción urbano arquitectónica mesoamericana. Siguiendo el método fenomenológico, se analizan los conceptos de Dasein como existencia arrojada a lo abierto; seren-el-mundo como transitar selectivo en busca de dirección y delimitación del paraje como potencial de uso. Así, la "cura" o cuidado deviene el rasgo esencial del habitar. Las señales, entonces, son hitos en el espacio y el claro del bosque significa el espacio propicio al desocultamiento del ser. Estas nociones se extrapolan hacia sitios mesoamericanos, donde ejes y plazas configuran la aperturidad que, por medio del ritual, da cabida a la actualización del mito. Este planteamiento constituye una aproximación de horizontes culturales y actualiza el significado existencial del espacio ritual mesoamericano.
