Sumario:El Llano Subercaseaux is a well-known neighborhood, but little studied. Located in San Miguel, commune of Santiago, stands out for its close relationship with the concept of the “garden city” in the expansion of Santiago at the beginning of the 20th century. However, the real estate development has intervened strongly in the neighborhood, changing its originals attributes. The research is focused on relieving the process of evolution of the neighborhood as historical, urban and architectural level, to understand the concepts that influenced in the adaptation of its residential typology through time and recognize the values that are still held, using a typological methodology that accounts for it.
