| الملخص: | This article explores the debate raised for the training of professionals from an integral approach in urban and regional planning, and focused on Latin America - particularly in Uruguay and Chile - for the developmentalist policies of the mid-1960s. A comparative approach on the activity of the Instituto de Teoría de la Arquitectura y Urbanismo in Uruguay and the Comité Interdisciplinario de Desarrollo Urbano in Chile is proposed including primary and secondary data analysis for this discipline in the region and the identification of the links between State, university and technique. From this perspective, it is recognized that the two experiences acted as spaces for the formation of new professionals capable of responding to the needs of the States in terms of both ideas and territorial management, the latter understood from its role as a variable in developmental policies to guide national equilibrium. |
