The efficiency, efficacy and sustainability of the decree were identified, the cost-benefit analysis, the quantification and valorization of the results, the social impact and economic development achieved, determining that the implementation of the decree eradicated a large part El artículo analiza el Decreto de Emergencia del Patrimonio Cultural del Ecuador (2008), en el periodo de implementación, bajo el enfoque secuencial de análisis de políticas públicas propuesto por André-Noel Roth Deubel considerando los siguientes criterios; (1) Definición del problema, (2) Formulación de soluciones, (3) Toma de decisiones, (4) Implementación y (5) Evaluación. Se identifica la eficiencia, eficacia y sostenibilidad del decreto, el análisis de costo-beneficio, la cuantificación y valorización de los resultados, el impacto social y desarrollo económico alcanzado, determinando que su implementación erradicó gran parte de la problemática patrimonial, más no alcanzó el horizonte proyectado y vislumbra dificultades constantes.
