From a multidisciplinary approach, these experts address the demands of the local population, especially in the fields of education, health, architecture, urban development and construction. Inspired by the current debate on Regionalized Housing, this group has submitted the present paper, which has been published by the Housing Institute. El Centro Profesional Cahuala es una agrupación de profesionales jóvenes provenientes de Santiago que se han radicado desde 1987 en las cercanías de Castro (Isla de Chiloé) buscando nuevos horizontes y formas de vida. Está integrado por Arquitectos, Ingenieros, Psicólogos, Educadores, Geógrafos, Historiadores y atienden multidisciplinariamente las demandas de la población isleña, principalmente en educación, salud, arquitectura, urbanismo y construcción. Motivados por el actual debate de la Vivienda Regionalizada, nos han hecho llegar este trabajo. El Instituto lo da a conocer en ese contexto.
