While scientific attention has been traditionally focused in Madrid, this paper aims to broaden the depth of knowledge of these formulas of segregation in other areas of Spain, especially in Valencia and Sevilla. The location of these developments, as well as their territorial and typological analysis, are the main goals of this research. From a methodological perspective, Street View has been successfully trialed as the basis to locate these areas. It is ascertained that the gated communities closest to conventional definitions exist with other formulas of enclosure in rural Sevilla and the coastal areas of tourism in Valencia – each with their own territorial logics. Las urbanizaciones cerradas son realidades cada vez más recurrentes en el paisaje urbano español. Aunque su atención científica ha estado centrada tradicionalmente en Madrid, este trabajo pretende profundizar en el conocimiento de estas fórmulas de segregación urbana en otros ámbitos de España, concretamente en las aglomeraciones de Valencia y Sevilla. La localización de estas urbanizaciones así como su análisis territorial y tipológico son los principales objetivos de esta investigación. Desde una perspectiva metodológica proponemos la aplicación Street View como base para la localización de estos complejos. Se comprueba que las urbanizaciones cerradas más ajustadas a las definiciones convencionales conviven con otras fórmulas de cerramiento en el medio rural (Sevilla) y en ámbitos turísticos del litoral (Valencia), cada una con lógicas territoriales propias.
