The uprising affected various crucial infrastructures for the functioning of the city, exposing its inhabitants to uncertainty. The article explores the practices deployed by women pedestrians to negotiate this uncertain scenario using the walking interview technique. This includes monitoring their immediate and the general context, dealing with new ways of feeling vulnerable, and developing affective connections with other city inhabitants through emotions of politicization. In recognizing the adaptive and affective aspects of walking and its capacity to connect with political processes, it invites the development of forms of planning that eschew traditional aspirations of control and the standardization of bodies and practices. |
