This situation is caused by the non-adaptation of the life cycle to the patterns of the urban space occupation. Because of this, the present investigation designs a methodology, from the urban environmental management`s functions, which integrates the life cycle of the domiciliary solid waste to the use of the ground, the structure and the predominant morphology. It also incorporates corrective actions to facilitate the social participation in the identification and evaluation of the main associated impacts, and a group of regulations for the natural and socioeconomic system that made possible to harmonize the efforts of the entities involved through environmental education criteria and through the political, technicians and social actors´ participation. Los procesos de crecimiento demográfico, paralelamente a los altos niveles de consumo que cada sociedad experimenta, constituyen los factores que incrementan la generación de residuos sólidos domiciliarios, y traen consigo una ruptura del ciclo de vida natural. Esta situación es provocada por la no adaptación de su ciclo de vida a los patrones de ocupación del espacio urbano. Es por ello que la presente investigación diseña una metodología que desde las funciones de la gestión ambiental urbana integra el ciclo de vida de los residuos sólidos domiciliarios al uso de suelo, la estructura y la morfología predominantes. Incorpora, además, acciones correctivas para facilitar la participación social en la identificación y evaluación de los principales impactos asociados y un conjunto de regulaciones para el sistema natural y el socioeconómico, que posibilitaron armonizar los esfuerzos de las entidades involucradas mediante criterios de educación ambiental y participación de los actores políticos, técnicos y sociales.
