Sumario:This paper proposes to address Chaco’s domestic space as a dynamic social construction in constant processes of reinterpretation, where its architecture resignify itself to face the mechanisms of modernity. Dismissed by the measurement and diagnosis systems with which development operates, local practices of construction transcend their materiality towards a scenario of knowledges loaded with meanings. Through them, subsistence economies based on mobility challenges capital economies that pursue their sedentarization. In this context, certain technical solutions stands out among a great variety of appropriate resources, maintaining their validation and continuity because of its ability to respond to a functional symbolic universe with its own senses and needs.
