Shrnutí:Concepts from science, philosophy and architecture underlying computational operations and shaping the theoretical framework of the currently so-called “digital design” are presented in this paper. It establishes analogies between computational operations and design operations, offering examples of architectural processes and propositions, and analyzes definitions, techniques and functions of computational software and devices, which intersect in the approach to program and architectural design in the digital age. The paper’s assumption is that in the digital age computational and architectural programs are biased and significantly interfere in the design process, transforming architectural concept and production, yielding Program - defined products.Key words: Digital Design, design theory, experimental architecture.
