Fiel à velha prancheta, ao concreto armado e aos conceitos de beleza e de leveza na arquitetura, Oscar Niemeyer, um dos arquitetos mais importantes do século XX, não recorre nem às novas tecnologias projetuais, nem aos novos materiais para criar suas obras. Após 60 anos de carreira, Niemeyer continua empregando estratégias visuais aparentemente simples para produzir leveza.
