Sumario:The curatorial work “Ciudad Imaginaria: Arquitectura mexicana de los siglos XIX y XX en fotografías de Luis Márquez Romay”, allowed the analysis of the urban imaginary of Mexico City with a geographical perspective based on the images of Mexican urban landscapes. From the identification of urban symbols, a correlation was found between the center of the colonial city where the square functions as a starting point with the construction period, distance from the center, architectural style and uses, which are explained through the historical context of the city.
