description This text addresses the didactic activities developed in the Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism of the University of São Paulo in July 2018 related to the restoration and the metric survey. Within the framework of the academic cooperation agreements with the Sapienza Università di Roma. The activities involved undergraduate and postgraduate courses and a scientific event open to a wider audience. The course presented the notion of restoration today, debating questions of method  and highlighting the necessary interrelations of the restoration – understood as a disciplinary field that has autonomy, but is not isolated, since it requires the articulation of several fields – withother areas of knowledge and with the architectural design. The discussions were focused on questions of method and the interface History – Architectural Survey – Restoration (design).The object of study, to deepen the theme and to offer the possibility of experiencing in practice some of the procedures, was the FAU-Maranhão building.

El texto presenta y analiza actividades, desarrolladas en la FAUUSP en julio de 2018, que articularon, en el marco de los acuerdos de cooperación internacional con la Sapienza Università di Roma (activos desde 2006), disciplina de graduación, disciplina de postgrado y evento abierto a un público más amplio. El evento evidenció las necesarias interrelaciones de la restauración - entendida como campo disciplinario que tiene autonomía, pero no es aislado, pues necesita la articulación de varios campos del saber - con otras áreas del conocimiento. Las discusiones se desarrollaron en torno a un eje específico, concentrado en cuestiones de método y en la interfaz entre Historia / Levantamiento Métrico Arquitectónico / Restauración (proyecto), tomando como objeto de estudio, para profundizar el tema y para ofrecer la posibilidad de experimentar en la práctica de algunos de los procedimientos, el edificio de la FAU-Maranhão. Este texto aborda as atividades didáticas desenvolvidas na Faculdade de Arquitetura e Urbanismo da Universidade de São Paulo em julho de 2018 relacionadas ao restauro e ao levantamento métrico. As ações articularam, no âmbito dos acordos de cooperação internacional com a Sapienza Università di Roma, disciplina de graduação, disciplina de pós-graduação e evento aberto a um público mais amplo. O curso apresentou a noção do restauro na atualidade, debatendo questões de método e evidenciando as necessárias interrelações do restauro – entendido como campo disciplinar que tem autonomia, mas não é isolado, pois necessita da articulação de várioscampos do saber – com outras áreas do conhecimento e com o projeto arquitetônico. As discussões foram aprofundadas em torno de um eixo específico, centrado em questões de método e na interface entre História – Levantamento – Restauro (projeto), tomando comoobjeto de estudo e tema de exercício, para ampliar o conhecimento e para oferecer a possibilidade de experimentar na prática alguns dos procedimentos, o edifício da FAU-Maranhão.
