| 总结: | Based on a rigorous and precise method (only official cartography, systematic geo-reference and crosschecks whenever possible), this ongoing research project composed images of the urban and rural occupation of the municipal territories of the Lisbon Metropolitan Area (LMA) in the four available years: 1942, 1965, 1991 and 2001. With the help of these images, this research work describes the changes in land-use in the LMA, in each of the periods concerned. Each chapter of this paper corresponds to one of these years and starts with an overview of the general context (political, social and economic, and legal), followed by a descriptive interpretation of the urbanization processes themselves and the corresponding dynamics of the land-use changes. Each chapter then concludes by presenting findings provided by images and by the processes interpreted. It should be pointed out that these are mere initial findings in a research project which otherwise provides tools for understanding the urbanization process of the largest portuguese urban agglomeration. |
