In the awake of the 21th century, however, there are few of them that emphasize the importance of São Paulo in the new world economy. Although there are enormous contrasts between Developed and Developing countries, we aim at showing here, some clear evidences that the process of globalization is getting shape particularly through the tertiary and quaternary activities (Advanced producer services). The present essay will point, therefore, some of the new roles played by this metropolis that contributes to its insertion in a selected universe of world or global cities. |
