It has the task to delineate the ordering principles for endowment services, to adopt urban standards and provide indicators to allow future building and implantation planning. This Master Plan is a privileged scenery for future management and ordering processes because it allows to confront and include space in the educational system, reinforces the centralities structure of the territorial plan of the POT (Territory Ordering Plan) for Bogotá, and proposes a new stage in the city territorial planning through the urban project as a definitive topic for the program, creating in this way a profound relation between the educative dimension of the city and the urban dimension of the education. El plan maestro de equipamientos educativos hace parte del proceso de regularización y ordenamiento a los que se somete el país entero. Tiene la tarea de definir el ordenamiento de los servicios dotacionales, adoptar estándares urbanísticos y proveer indicadores que permitan programar las edificaciones e implantaciones para atender las necesidades de los sectores definidos. El plan maestro de equipamientos educativos es un escenario de gestión y ordenamiento privilegiado que permite territorializar el sistema educativo a la vez que refuerza la estructura de centralidades del modelo territorial del POT para Bogotá, y proponer una nueva etapa en el ordenamiento territorial de la ciudad a través del proyecto urbano como acción definitoria del programa, para así crear una interrelación profunda entre la dimensión educativa de la ciudad y la dimensión urbana de la educación.
