الملخص:Arquitectura y Construccion (A&C) and Proa were two contemporary architecture magazines. Eighteen issues of A&C were published in Santiago, Chile from December 1945 to August 1950. Fifty three issues of Proa were published from 1941 to 1951 in Bogota, Colombia. In addition, a retrospective book on the first five years of the magazine was published. The editors’ aim in both magazines was to synthesize economic modernization and nationalism. The following article will try to show how the approach of the editorial teams in the two magazines developed opposed proposals to achieve this purpose.
