Sumario:This paper discusses how the producers of place in La Condesa area of Mexico City build and position it in the imagination of its inhabitants, expressing this act of signi cation from multiple concepts and tensions that constitute the most relevant elements of their identity. From a qualitative research with an ethnographic approach, it concludes that La Condesa is organized and quali ed as an experience of consumption, culture and entertainment from ve images: the chaos area, the touristic and fashion area, the social experimentation area, the T zone, and the Mexican and the manorial area.
