Description
Summary:There are important reflections addressing the right to the city is mostly conceptual terms, with few spatial readings and generally focused on spaces formally recognized as urban. This work shows the construction of a methodology for the spatial interpretation of the right to the city by comparing in Cuenca, Ecuador the situation between the urban area and its nearby conurbation. It is concluded that the spatial analysis allows determining those components of the urban structure that require particular attention in a process of intervention in the city to fulfill the rights of the population.
