Gaia:This paper is developed from the idea of sociability, which is established as a conceptual connection with urban studies, through the notion of public space, neighborhood and community. From the relationship between these three concepts, is exposed the cultural manifestations of sociability which are connected with the urban built space. In this framework, the text seeks to understand the relationship that exist between the built space —from its physical and its symbolic dimension — with local organization, that face the increasingly emergence of conflicts that arise from the reconfigure space initiatives.
