Özet:This paper aims at identifying and characterizing the scenario of inequality in households in Sonora based on their levels of access to energy services and economic capital, to analyzing the possible adverse impacts that confinement in households may generate due to the COVID-19 pandemic. A quantitative methodology was applied, which included the techniques of multiple correspondence analysis and k-means cluster analysis. The results show that: approximately half of the households in Sonora have low access levels; the services with the lowest levels of access are thermal comfort, efficient lighting, and information and entertainment; this situation affects a series of human rights that is magnified by home confinement. Given this scenario, a series of actions are proposed that can improve living conditions in homes in the post-pandemic stage.
