Sumario:In the present research, a series of models are performed to analyze the current paradigms involving the conformation of urban residential developments and implementation strategies are proposed based on statistical and measurement methods. Through the application of a series of urban sustainability indicators, considered as a quantitative and qualitative assessment tool for the urbanization process in the urban residential development “El Jordán”, located in Tonalá, Jalisco, a strategic action plan for the optimization and improvement is proposed. By studying the form of planning and projection used by housing developers, the level of sustainability present can be used as a prospective component to obtain the basis for the projection oriented towards the management of sustainable urban-architectural models from an integral and systemic approach and directed to the planning, creation, and modification of the urban space into more sustainable forms.
